March 2018 — M&M Meet

Meghan texted her friend from high school to meet up. When she arrived, she saw Matt’s beautiful bald head before sitting down. She thought to herself, “Wow this guy has a nice face!” Then they shared a Dave and Buster’s game card, talked until 1 AM and the rest was history…

June 2018 — M&M become official!

After some liquid courage, Matt called Meghan and asked her to flip a coin. Confused as hell, she said Heads. He flipped it and said,” Aw, damn. Nevermind.” 20 minutes later, Matt bursted out,” DO YOU WANT TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND?” She agreed, and the rest was history…

June 2018 — M&M make a Pact

Soon after Meghan and Matt became official, they pulled out their excel spreadsheets and shared their financials with each other. Meghan, having van life on the mind wanted to make that her goal as soon as possible. Matt agreed to do van life under one condition… We make a pact to pay off our debt first. Realizing that van life would be on hold for at least 2 years, but didn’t want to do it without him, Meghan agreed and the rest was history…

April 2019 — M&M Move in!

Even though renting would push their goals out further, Meghan and Matt desperately wanted their own space. Meghan, in her mind saw it as practice for van life. Matt saw it as practice for marriage. Conversations have been flowing about getting engaged but Matt proposed another pact. NO ENGAGEMENT UNTIL WE ARE BOTH DEBT FREE. Meghan gladly agreed and the rest was history…

Oct 2019 — Matt Becomes Debt Free

Matt hated the idea of carrying student loan debt so he did everything he could to pay it off as fast as possible. He cut his expenses drastically, worked overtime at work, and did random jobs from Craigslist on the weekends. His original goal was to pay off his debt before he turned 30. He officially became debt free just before his 27th birthday and the rest was history…

Sept 2020 — Meghan Becomes Debt Free

Being in debt for a full year after Matt fulfilled his end of the bargain, was really rough for Meghan. But with a ring and a van in the horizon, Meghan put her ass in high gear to meet her goals! She spent as little as possible and kept herself and Matt on a strict budget. Meghan paid off her remaining student loan debt after being offered a higher paying job and the rest was history…

Oct 2020 — Matt Proposes!

Matt wasted no time in proposing to Meghan. He knew how amazing she was, but after she paid off her debt he knew she meant business! Knowing that he knew nothing about jewelry, he and Meghan worked together with a designer to create what became her engagement ring. So Meghan knew the proposal was coming eventually, but had no idea that Matt was working behind the scenes with the jeweler to have the ring expedited and shipped to him before they went away on a romantic getaway weekend. Matt surprised Meghan at the top of Haystack Mountain in Vermont with the ring of her dreams! And if you couldn’t tell, she did say YES! And the rest was history…

Feb 2021 — M&M Buy a Van and the Build Begins!

Shortly after getting engaged, Meghan and Matt decided it was time to buy their van. Remember Meghan’s new job? She started making a lot more money and since they were both out of debt and kept their expenses low, they were able to save up for the van in no time! The dealership delivered the van to their driveway on Meghan’s birthday! Within the next week, Meghan and Matt decided that it didn’t make sense for Matt to continue working his job. So, Matt quit his job. It wasn’t an easy choice for Matt, but after some self-discovery, he knew the right choice. He was destined to build their future home! And the rest was history…

August 2021 — M&M live in a Van Full Time

6 months to the day, Meghan and Matt completed their van build and moved in! Starting in Connecticut, they headed west and began traveling together!

Meghan had a remote job that she can take anywhere, but it wasn’t the dream to work for someone else in the van.

During this time, they started a Marketing Business (LLC and everything!) and Matt got active on social media, learning how to make money by working with brands.

Meghan’s goal was to save up $20,000 for an emergency savings, and Matt’s goal was to make a consistent $2,500/month which would cover all our expenses and a little more for some fun activities.

We achieved both goals and the rest was history…

January 2022 — Meg Quits Her Job

Meghan quit her job to join Matt working full time on their business and now, we are full time content creators. This is when they were really able to embrace the life on the road and explore the United States. They visited 32 National Parks, slept on the floor of the Grand Canyon, drove the van to Canada and spent a summer in Alaska. It was an adventure filled travel fest! And the rest was history…

March 2023 — M&M Sell the Van and Travel Overseas.

After a year and a half of full time travel in the van, they decided to take their wanderlust overseas. Trading the van for suitcases, they set out on a 5 month trip overseas. In those 5 months, they visited Spain, Greece, South Africa, Bulgaria, England, and Scotland. They even both went on a cruise for the first time ever. And the rest was history…

September 2023 — M&M buy an Airstream

Wanting more stability at home and to go back to living on the road, they decided to follow a lifelong dream of renovating a 1973 Airstream. And History continues to write itself…
