The Original Tour
Check out our GROOVY Vintage Airstream from 1973! This is our Airstream Land Yacht Safari 23 ft in its original condition. We purposely looked for an airstream with the interior intact so we can see how it is put together and save us headaches in the future! Come take a tour!
Episode 1: Gut
This is the start to our airstream renovation series! To make this into our new home, we first need to gut it to the bones! As much as we want to smash it all like Donkey Kong and call it a day, we didn’t. Very carefully, we took this baby apart and found a LOT of ladybugs in the process.
Episode 2: New Layout Plans
In this video, we are mocking up our new Airstream layout using free pallet wood. This is something we highly recommend for all tiny home builders so you can get a feel for what your new home is going to be. BONUS: To gather more inspiration, we also visit a 54 converted Airstream and give you a tour!
Episode 3: Interior Skins & Windows
We are continuing to gut by removing the interior skins or the "walls" and the windows. We are preparing our Airstream for a shell off restoration so both these things are necessary and brings us one step closer!

After almost a month working on our vintage airstream, this part was the worst. In this video, we are continuing to gut by tackling the belly pan. It turns out, removing the belly pan is pretty tough but necessary as we are preparing our Airstream for a shell off restoration!

In this video, we are taking the shell off our vintage airstream. This airstream renovation has been nothing but challenging and we have been preparing for this shell off moment. We had to figure out how to do a shell off without a gantry which is way harder and trickier when you don't have even ground like us!
